What We Do
Seniors for the Constitution and Des Moines Indivisible collaborate to counter the daily erosion of democracy in the United States, focused on upholding the US Constitution and the Rule of Law. Our efforts for democracy preservation encompass four main activities:
Our most visible community rallies take place as PEACEFUL gatherings. Seniors for the Constitution typically assembles at Big Catch Plaza (corner of S 216th St and Marine View Drive in Des Moines WA) on the first and third Saturdays of the month from noon to 2 p.m., although these times may shift when national rallies do not align with those dates. Special days may call for special actions.
Des Moines Indivisible hosts its own community rallies on Wednesdays from 3 to 5 p.m. at the same location, adjusting to 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. during standard time, and also frequently organizes special events in various locations.
In addition to these rallies, Seniors for the Constitution coordinates postcard, letter, and phone campaigns as needs arise. Moreover, Des Moines WA Indivisible emphasizes community building by nurturing local relationships and engaging in voting rights advocacy to share vital information.
